Tooth whitening
is a cosmetic treatment that lightens tooth color up to several shades. There are various causes that can lead to tooth discoloration, from genetic and degenerative changes, vitamin and mineral substitutes, antibiotics, consumption of colored foods and drinks, as well as aging. The whitening is preceded by thorough cleaning of teeth and plaque removal. For a long lasting effect it is necessary to implement appropriate oral hygiene. In our polyclinic we use Opalescence Boost gel with 40% hydrogen peroxide and neutral pH for maximum effectiveness and safety, and we activate and amplify its effect with the laser. Laser tooth whitening is performed only in highly specialized dental offices, and the advantage of laser over the ZOOM lamp is in painlessness and the absence of unpleasant heat in the soft and hard tissue of teeth. The effectiveness of laser tooth whitening is extremely high, the results are visible within 24 hours and can last up to two years.
Ceramic facings or veneers
are aesthetic replacements in the area of front teeth, which are used in cases of considerable spacing between teeth, discoloration, cracked enamel, caries or badly positioned teeth. They are made of porcelain and, after a minimum intervention on the surface of the tooth (0.5 mm), they are placed on the front side of the tooth and permanently correct discoloration and irregularities in shape. With this technique we can achieve beautiful, even and white teeth and an aesthetically flawless smile.
Gingivoplasty
or gum correction stands for surgical shaping of the soft tissues around the teeth. A nice smile and a harmonious dental arch can be achieved only if beautiful and healthy teeth are accompanied by a healthy, proper gingiva. Gingivoplasty can eliminate or reduce all malformations and asymmetries caused by genetics or disease.
